With her sweet and strong voice, sometimes reminiscent of Chara, she blends awesome acoustic/alternative rock sounds with rock/pop melodies and occasional electronic blends. She's got some pretty awesome music so there's a lot to try but you might want to nab either of her singles "Coffee & SingingGirl!!!" or "Candy Girl" the former being one of my favorites. My mom pulled my car in last night and discovered what I've been hiding from her all week...aka my brakes are shot to ish. She won't let me drive my car and insists I drive hers even though her lease is up next month and she's almost over in her allotted miles. She got an estimate and it would cost about two thousand to fix my car. It's overdue for inspection since May. I haven't even paid this thing off yet. Excuse the language but all I feel right now is FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKSHITFUCK. I'm so frustrated with constantly getting shitty cars and getting caught in this cycle because I have no fucking money ever. You add hyperness and harder edged rock together with Engrish and you, no doubt, get a good time. The three member group has been bounced from labels for a while but most recently was signed with Victor, this will hopefully lead to more stable releases as most of their discography is a mesh of indies and major releases with many songs ending up on multiple releases. [05 Nov 2009|04:39pm] loveis_sparkly Today I went to THS to help run the homework club after school.... AND MY KID WAS THERE! HE CAME BACK!!!!!! I'm so excited. That's the best news in the world. He told me that he wasn't planning on going to college because he has no money. I feel so sorry for him that people have told him he has no hope. I told him I was going to make him go to college and he said, "You've only known me for two days! You're so bossy!" Lol I love this kid. I don't know if anyone even understands how happy I am and how much he's affected my life after two days. I don't even care if I don't need any more service hours. [04 Nov 2009|02:33pm] iluvthursday I feel really happy today. A weight is lifted off my shoulders. Car is clean. My room is about to be totally clean. Skipped my 2 lame classes that aren't even mandatory to go to. Slept in; I feel well rested. Hopefully this is a good and productive week. I'm going to find my art space by this weekend. I am going to lock myself in the studio for the next 2 weeks and take mad photos of myself. It's going to happen! post comment

Happpyyyyy Birthday CDB!!! [03 Nov 2009|04:47pm] loveis_sparkly The best thing happened to me, so of course I'm coming to LJ first! Ashley Anderson and I have been going to THS to help kids do their homework last period and after school. Miss Brown had a meeting so Ashley and I were alone. These three kids came in and sat down to use the computers and they obviously weren't doing homework, so I asked the one kid to leave. He was being a jerk, swearing, treating me like garbage. He came back later, and I heard him talking about wrestling, so I asked him about it. I could tell he was weirded out because he thought I had been yelling at him earlier. We got talking, and I found out he never does his homework and somehow I convinced him to stay. We did his math and social studies. This is what I love doing! I love helping kids who hate working because maybe someone never taught them how important education is or whatever reason. I love helping kids who everyone else thinks is a failure or who won't ever amount to anything. Miss Brown kept saying, "Wow that's really shocking. Your teachers will fall on the floor!" With just a little bit of effort, trying to relate to the kid and helping him out one-on-one he was able to do it! Sure, maybe he won't come back. Maybe he won't do his homework ever again, but maybe that seed was planted that YES SOMEONE BELIEVES IN YOU. That's all I want to do.
